Have you heard about Mamma Coal's concept album response to Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger? It's a narrative album where all the songs work together to tell the story of a mother-turned-outlaw in the old west. Working in parallel to Willie's groundbreaking album, Mamma Coal wrote and covered all new songs to tell the story. Co-produced with Adam Selzer at Type Foundry Studios in Portland OR, it features fine musicianship from Paul Brainard on trumpet, organ, steel, guitar and keys. Also featuring Mike Coykendall on bass, Benny Nugent on drums and percussion and Amanda Lawrence on viola.
